Running for the charity SLOW

Staff members, James, Riaan and Luke all joined Lucas C from Year 6 and his dad to raise money for SLOW (surviving the loss of your world.) The group of runners entered the Regents' Park 10k on Sunday 2nd July at 9am to raise money for the charity.

Firstly the group all finished! Lucas took the headlines with a fantastic performance. He ran the 10,000 metres in just over 50 minutes. A phenomenal show of running strength! The staff all completed the race in a variety of times and all safely crossed the finishing line below the hour! The entire group would like to congratulate Lucas on his fantastic new personal best and thank all of the parents, children and staff who sponsored us!

We are very grateful. Thank you.

Muswell Hill Primary gets the Gold!

Muswell Hill Primary are proud to announce that they have been awarded the Gold School Games Kite Mark! Click HERE to see the certificate!

This is in recognition of the school's commitment to sport, engagement in and delivery of competitive sport.  Lots of individuals have contributed to this success, including Graham, Mr Summers, Riaan, Mr Howes and of course all the teachers delivering PE week in week out.

I'd also like to highlight the commitment and tenacity that all of the children who represent the school demonstrate at each and every tournament they attend.

None of this could be possible if these opportunities were not supported and encouraged by James too, when I know other primary schools in the area often cut back on attendance to outside sporting tournaments as they don't want the children to miss anytime in the classroom.

Sport Relief football Tournament

We had a football tournament as part of our Sport Relief fund raising attempt.  All the teams (who were mixed  ages from  each year group) were named after Championship sides and the competition was hotly contested. In the final were Brentford and Burnley. The final was a wonderful game and the score line did not reflect the great teamwork and brilliant play that was demonstrated by both sides. The winners were Burnley by 3 goals to nil. Pictures of the teams in the final are posted HERE. Brentford are in Orange and Burnley in Blue. Congratulations to both teams and thanks to Riaan for helping to organise the tournament." Helen Hattersley Dept Headteacher
